Omooba Dotun Babayemi, an All Progressives Congress' (APC) Chieftain in Osun State, has urged Christians across Nigeria and beyond, to always strive to be Christlike in their engagements with other religious adherents.
Besides, while rejoicing with the people of Osun on the Christmas celebration, Babayemi implored them to continue to live peaceably among themselves.
This, according to him, would continue to engender the needed peace in the society; "a development that will continue to be a catalyst for the desirous growth in every sector"
Babayemi in his Christmas message to the people as issued by his media office, maintained that there was need for Christians to emulate the deeds of Jesus Christ.
"The values and the teachings embedded in the lowly birth of Jesus Christ must be meaningful in our lives. This should be beyond the known merriment" he stressed
He further implored them to continue to work and pray for the growth and development of mankind and the society, adding; "prayer alone can't do it. We must put in extra efforts for our society to work"
Babayemi while calling for a moderate celebration, appealed to the motorists and other road users to be mindful of the way they would be going about during and after the yuletide season.
