An All Progressives Congress' stalwart in Osun State, Omooba Dotun Babayemi, has described the demise of the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, as a big loss not only to the Ijesaland and Osun State, but to the entire nation.
Babayemi in his condolence message to the people of Ijesaland and the entire state, lamented that the death of one of the foremost traditional rulers to have reigned in the history of the state, was a painful one.
"Late Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran was a highly principled traditional ruler whose body of knowledge and reign, will never be forgotten in our history.
He occupied his space robustly and contributed immensely to the growth and development of our dear state, Osun and beyond", he said
Babayemi added that the many years reign of the late monarch was dotted by peace and development in Ijesaland, a development that endeared him to his people and those outside the state.
"For sure, late Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran's various impactful contributions will continue to speak for him throughout generations" he noted
Meanwhile, the APC chieftain has commiserated with the people of the state, especially the Ijesas, urging them to take solace in the fact that the late royal father lived an exemplary life by contributing meaningful to the growth of the society while his sojourn lasted.
