Omooba Dotun Babayemi, an All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has expressed the optimism that the struggles for the creation of the state by its founding fathers would not be in vain.
Babayemi who enthused that the vision of the forebears of the state would continue to be kept alive, gave kudos to them for their efforts which have enabled generations to be enjoying the dividends today.
"It behoves one to truly appreciate all those who have seen our dear state grown to this level in our way or the other.We are not there yet, with concerted efforts, we shall be there" added Babayemi.
In his congratulatory message to the people of the state on the 33rd anniversary of the state creation as issued by his Media Office,he said efforts would always be made to ensure that the vision of the founding fathers did not die.
"One commends our founding fathers for their struggles and vision which metamorphosed into a state which we call Osun today.It's our pride and our common project which we won't allow to fail" he assured
The APC chieftain who equally expressed the optimism that a new Osun was in the offing, charged the people of the state to continue to work for its progress.
