The management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company has pledged readiness to seek more synergy with other stakeholders to ensure steady power supply.
IBEDC's Acting Managing Director, Engr. Francis Agoha, gave the assurance in Osogbo during a separate visit to the General Manager, National Control Centre, Osogbo, Engr. Biliaminu Ishola and the General Manager, Transmission Company of Nigerian, Osogbo, Engr Adeonipekun Adeshina.
Agoha, who was accompanied on the visit by the top management staff of IBEDC, commended the NCC and TCN management for providing business environment that enhances growth of the company, said his organisation would continue to look for avenue to synergize for better performance.
He further said, "The purpose of this visit is to first of all appreciate the contribution NCC and TCN have been putting to the growth of our business in IBEDC and to also look at a way of synergizing for better performance. We all know that we are in this business together.
"We can't see electricity without the NCC and TCN, and this is also coming behind long-lasting relationship have had with the GM. I am here to also seek further collaboration for improved performance for both entities, so that is why we are here.
Speaking on serving the consumers, Agoha stated that, "We are here to serve them better as we seek for the creative ways of improved energy delivery to our consumers, we are going through rough times now but better days are ahead I will look forward to better business collaboration with TCN and NCC.
"All we need is light, and this light comes from a chain. And this chain has NCC at the core, the heartbeat of it is also IBEDC as the distributor of power. So it can only take our synergy and collaboration to make that light available to everybody."
Responding, Ishola expressed confidence in the ability of the IBEDC'S management to deliver on the mandate.
