My Experience In The Private Sector Would Aid In Job Creation As Commissioner – KLM

A nominee for cabinet position in the state, Engr. Prince Adeniran Felix Ibitoye KLM (KILOMODEMO) has disclosed that, as a member of the cabinet of Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, he will use his office to create more jobs for the teeming youths in the state.

KLM stated this while responding to questions thrown at him by honourable members of the Osun State House of Assembly as he appeared on its Floor for screening on Monday, 30th September, 2019.

The Vice-President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) stated that the skill he has acquired as a result of his vast experience in the private sector, mentorship, entrepreneurship, innovation and his involvement in organising training and empowerment programmes for the Osun Youths Empowerment Scheme (OYES) would be used in the service of Osun.

In his words, "My motto has always been 'service to humanity' and this has been my driving force over the years.

"I have been a mentor to a lot of young people in many areas and also a creator of jobs in the private sector through many entrepreneurial programmes.

"I have also been engaged by Prince Abdullahi Binuyo, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the governor on the training of OYES cadets on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and being an ICT driven professional, I hold the belief that there are a lot of untapped potentials in that sector".

He revealed that his active participation as a member of the Committee on Health Revitalisation under the Chairmanship of Hon. Leke Ogunsola where the state government was able to rehabilitate many primary healthcare centres was also a proof of his involvement with government in terms of creating employment opportunities.

Earlier, the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye has stated that members of the Osun State House of Assembly will not take it lightly with any cabinet members who wants to undermine its constitutional responsibilities.

Owoeye gave this warning during his opening address at the opening session of the screening and confirmation exercise for Commissioners and Special Advisers.

The Speaker who confirmed that the governor, Oyetola had earlier sent a letter containing the list of 35 nominees revealed that the House would conduct a thorough and strict screening for the candidates.

"OSHA is saddled with the responsibility of screening the nominees and we will do it without fear or favour.

"The House is in high spirit and ready for the screening exercise", he assured.

The Speaker and other distinguished honourable members also testified that the presence of Engr. Adeniran Felix Ibitoye KLM (KILOMODEMO) at the hallowed chamber of the Osun State House of Assembly showed that he was a good ambassador.
