Former Super Eagles star, Osaze Odewingie has stated that he is still good enough to represent Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Odewingie, born by a Russian mother and a Nigerian father, said he will travel to Russia to meet his mum and support the Eagles.
The 36-year-old, who made his debut for Nigeria in 2002, however, said he will be doing some media work while supporting Gernot Rohr’s men and a host of other countries in Russia.
”On my way to moscow! Mum is waiting. Still good enough to be in Naija squad but nothing spoil,” Odemwingie tweeted on his official Twitter handle.
“Happy to be there for some media work. Rooting for #RUSSIA_2018,”.
Nigeria will face Croatia in their Group D 2018 World Cup opener on Saturday at the Kaliningrad Stadium.
