Former Chairman, Osun House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Hon. Olufemi Farombi, is dead. According to a facebook post of one of his children, Farombi died on Friday, September 6, 2024. He was a former Accountant, Federal Ministry of works/ Ministry of Defence, Partner Olusola Adekanola & Co, World Bank Consultant, 8 Years HOA (Former Deputy Majority Leader), ICAN Fellow, former ICAN Chairman, Osun State and former ICAN Chairman Western Zone. A legal practitioner, Late Farombi was an Oba Elect.

Osun: Election Will Take Place Only In Constitutionally Recognised 30 LGs- OSSIEC

-Says February 22, 2025 Sacrosant The Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, OSSIEC has amended the notice of local government elections billed to hold on Saturday February 22, 2025. Also, the Commission adjusted the timetable and schedule of activities regarding the forthcoming local government elections in the State. The Chairman of the Commission, Barr.
