MONACO and Arsenal have agreed a 100 million euros deal for Thomas Lemar, according to The Telegraph.
The Gunners saw Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain complete his £35million move to Liverpool on transfer deadline day - after rejecting a new contract offer - and reports say the club have accepted a have accepted a 60 million pound bid for Alexis Sanchez from Manchester City.
The Daily Mail says Arsene Wenger will allow Sanchez to leave if Lemar is secured, a scenario reported elsewhere as well.
The Mirror, which earlier reported Arsenal are making a last-minute attempt to seal a transfer for Julian Draxler, now say the club have acceped a deal for Alexis.
The Guardian added City are readying a late, last ditch bid to lure the Chilean. The Telegraph suggest that the Etihad club have representatives in Chile ready to conduct a medical and finalise the move if a deal can be agreed with the Gunners.
“Arsenal have softened their stance slightly over Sánchez in past 24 hours or so and City feel that they have been given some encouragement,” writes The Guardian’s Dave Hytner.

But Draxler, 23, has fallen down the PSG pecking order after the arrival of Neymar and with the expected signing of Kylian Mbappe, the French giants will be looking to recoup some of their summer spending.
Unfortunately for Arsene Wenger and co., Germany boss Joachim Low played down speculation that Draxler would be leaving PSG, telling reporters: “I know for a fact that Paris don’t want to sell him.
“They are convinced of his outstanding qualities. He made such a big step forward there. I am convinced that he will come out on top at Paris. By now, he’s already playing a big role for us.”
Arsenal have already rejected a £50m bid and a player-plus-cash deal involving Raheem Sterling for Sanchez.
Sergio Aguero has been a player mooted to be included in a swap, however the Manchester Evening Newsreports the Argentine’s future won’t be sorted until January should Sanchez arrive on Deadline Day.
The report lists Riyad Mahrez and Thomas Lemar as other potential options for the Gunners, with time quickly running out for the London club.
But the BBC’s David Ornstein reporting that the club have no plans to replace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who’s set to join Liverpool, and no funds to make any other signings.
“Why aren’t they replacing [Oxlade-Chamberlain]?,” explained David Ornstein on BBC’s 5Live radio show. “Arsenal’s squad was particularly heavy only a few weeks ago – about 35 strong – but they needed bring that down to 25 for the Premier League. Some players have left, some won’t be registered for the first team.
“The outlay on Alexandre Lacazette, when salary is factored in, eats into an enormous amount of their overall transfer budget especially when you add the Kolasinac salary in as well. There is no major money available for any new major signings.”
Arsenal have already confirmed the departure of Kieran Gibbs to West Brom and the confirmation of Chamberlain’s move to Liverpool is nearing.
In better news for Arsenal fans, defender Shkodran Mustafi looks set to stay at the Emirates, with Inter Milan unable to agree a fee for the German.
Inter’s sporting director Walter Sabatini revealed any move for the 25-year old is off, telling media: “We won’t make any more signings. It has been a pragmatic transfer campaign.
“Mustafi? We made an attempt, but we decided to ‘recycle’ someone else.”Arsenal have no plans to replace AOC & no money for major signings, but only way Sanchez leaves is if #AFC get massive money & replacement— David Ornstein (@bbcsport_david) August 30, 2017
Elsewhere, West Ham are reportedly considering a deadline day move for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.
The Sun claim that the Hammers are interested in taking the Englishman on a season-long loan, but any deal hinges on William Carvalho.
Carvalho remains Slaven Bilic’s first choice, but if the deal isn’t pushed through in time, Wilshere represents an ideal second option.
And lastly, Arsenal outcast Lucas Perez has allegedly finally found a way out of the London club.
The Daily Mail report the Spanish striker is on his way to Deportivo La Coruna on a season-long loan deal, with a £4m fee agreed.
Deportivo will have the option to make the deal permanent at the end of his loan spell.
